Today, in front of the the Libyan coast, 130 people drowned. The Mediterranean Sea has become the World's most dangerous border. Someone counted: since 2014 more than 20 thousands lost there lives by trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea. This People could have been still alive but others knowingly left them to die.
Kristin Feddersen is part of the Sea-Watch crew since 2021. Sea-Watch e.V. is a non-profit organization that conducts civil search and rescue operations in the Central Med. In the presence of the humanitarian crisis, Sea-Watch provides emergency relief capacities, demands and pushes for rescue operations by the european institutions and stands up publicly for legal escape routes. Kristin is working on board of the ships as well as on land to support the Sea-Watch operations. Kristin is also working as an artist and in the field of set-design for cinema productions.
